Director of Product Marketing

The Adaptiva marketing boom resumes.

A little earlier this year, we helped Adaptiva find a terrific new Chief Marketing Officer, Sonia Martinez. As we noted then, the Kirkland firm has been kicking SaaS – posting terrific growth with its endpoint management and security offerings, and looking for marketing and sales leaders to take that growth to the next echelon.

The next role Adaptiva seeks to fill is Director of Product Marketing – a position reporting directly to Sonia. The person in this post will be responsible for driving product strategy; raising product and brand awareness; and increasing sales.

More specifically, this director will be called upon to handle a wide range of duties related to customer experience and product positioning. This includes the development of detailed launch strategies and the creation of marketing materials.

The role requires a fair amount of collaboration with other teams within Adaptiva, notably sales and communications. Indeed, this is a strongly comms-oriented position, demanding strong speaking and writing skills. An ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals is a must, as is a knack for effectively presenting information before groups.

In hiring for this position, Adaptiva is looking for strong experience in systems management or security-related product marketing, and in the development of thought-leadership content. The company also seeks candidates who have a proven ability to translate product details into compelling positioning and messages across marketing channels.

Aptitude with systems such as WordPress, Hubspot, Pardot, and Salesforce is a big plus, as is familiarity with production tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Camptasia, and Canva.

This is yet another very solid position at a fast-growing local company. If you’re interested, do let me know.

PS From PSP: As you’ve probably seen or hear, there’s a hiring boom in many sectors of the economy. However, not all workers stand to gain equally – and early signs are that many women are being squeezed out of the labor force.

True, women took 56.2 percent of the jobs created last month, but many females have to stay at home until more school districts open back up to full-time, in-person learning. As a result of this and other factors, nearly 1.8 million women have left the labor force since February 2020.

Very interesting – definitely a potential trend to keep an eye on in the months ahead, especially as the new school year starts in the fall. ###
